'American High's' Morgan Sentenced in Porn Case Morgan Moss, one of the students profiled in the FOX/PBS documentary series "American High," has pleaded guilty to a charge of child pornography.
Moss, 19, was sentenced Wednesday (Nov. 21) to two years probation and fined $1,000 for making a tape of himself having sex with an underage girl, according to the Chicago Tribune. He must now register as a sex offender. The tape was made between December 2000 and March 2001, when the girl was 16 or 17. Authorities were alerted to the tape's existence after the girl created nude pictures of Moss from the video and posted them around his hometown of Highland Park. She was reportedly upset that Moss had shown the video to friends.
Moss' father, Alan, says, "We're happy that we've finished with the court end of this thing and Morgan is going to move on and get on with his life." Morgan Moss' notoriety from "American High" is "the only reason that this received any of the attention, or reached the level that it did and it's a sad downside to what was otherwise a good experience with the documentary."
